A friendly one-day squash tournament for women and girls at beginner and intermediate level.
Most women's first tournament is also their last. You turn up alone, you get drawn against someone twice your standard, you lose 3–0 in eleven minutes and you go home. We built this day to be the opposite of that.
You'll play several matches against players at your own level, on a day designed around enjoying it. Competitive, but friendly. The kind of day where you swap numbers with the person who just beat you.
Who it's for
Women and girls playing at beginner to intermediate level — up to SquashLevel 300. Not sure what your SquashLevel is? That's usually a good sign this event is for you.
If you've been playing club nights for a while and never entered anything, this is your event. If you've played a couple of box leagues and want more matches, this is your event too.
You don't need a coach, a club team place, or a competitive record. You need a racket and a free Sunday.
Last year
The Northern Women's Open sold out, with 47 women taking part. Many were playing their first ever tournament. Places are limited again this year, so please book early.
