We are incredibly proud to share that two Girls in Motion leaders – Sally Archibald and Mia Leahey – have been recognised at the 2025 England Squash Awards, celebrating their outstanding contributions to women’s and girls’ squash across the country.

These awards shine a spotlight on exactly what Girls in Motion stands for: empowering women and girls, creating opportunities, and transforming the landscape of amateur squash through community, visibility and leadership.

The Northern Women’s Open returned for its second year and sold out again! Forty-seven women took part in this friendly beginner-to-intermediate competition, packed with fun matches, coaching, and an interactive exhibition led by pro Julianne Courtice. A day full of confidence, connection, and competitive spirit for women in squash.

Over 50 girls from clubs across the North West came together at the National Squash Centre for a fun-filled morning of team games, challenges and social squash. The Autumn Meet 2025 was all about friendship, confidence and community — showcasing the energy and inclusivity that define Girls in Motion.

Girls in Motion joins the ‘Rally for Change’ this International Women’s Squash Week!

Girls in Motion is delighted to partner with OLIVER UK, one of the UK’s leading squash equipment providers, for our upcoming event at the National Squash Centre on October 5th. OLIVER UK will supply prizes for participants and offer a special discount code, GIM15, giving 15% off, with 10% of all sales donated back to Girls in Motion to support the charity’s mission of empowering girls through sport.

With monthly fixtures and festival-style hosting at four clubs, the NWWSL Summer League grew women’s team squash in the North West with 41 players from 15 clubs in the North West 💪

31 girls took part in our England Squash–sanctioned Junior Copper, boosting national female participation

36 women came together at the PSA Manchester Open for squash, coaching, and a pro quarter finals social.

Over 50 girls joined our Junior Spring Meet with Tesni Murphy and volunteer coaches – a day of inspiration, squash and community

45 women under 300 Squash Levels enjoyed a bespoke competition – complete with t-shirts, coaching and their first taste of competitive squash

The Autumn Junior Meet welcomed 49 girls with coaching, t-shirts and fun squash games to kick-start our charity journey
