Womens Squash festival @ psa Manchester open
The Women’s Squash Festival at the PSA Manchester Open was a huge celebration of the women’s game, with 36 players stepping onto court right alongside the world’s best. The buzz of the professional tournament inspired women of all levels to take part, proving just how powerful visibility can be in growing our game.
The festival created real impact on and off court. Coaching was designed by former pro Julianne Courtice, with world-class players Tesni Evans and Lowri Roberts generously volunteering their time to support. More than 20 women joined the sessions, while two junior female coaches gained hands-on mentoring experience. It wasn’t just about today’s matches – it was about building tomorrow’s leaders.
The day finished with a social gathering to watch the PSA Manchester Open quarter finals together, connecting festival players with the very top level of the sport. From first-time competitors to seasoned players, every participant left feeling part of a bigger movement – a true milestone in putting women’s squash centre stage.
